Hollerado Bio: Hollerado is a band that existed from 2008 until 2019, from a small town called Manotick, Ontario.During that time, they played a couple thousand shows - in basements, stadiums and everything inbetween. Their DIY spirit and "say yes" attitude took them on tours through over 20 countriesincluding cities as far and wide as Sao Paolo, Beijing, Moscow and Hamilton, with bands likeWeezer, Flaming Lips, Sum 41 and Fred Penner. Along the way, frontman Menno Versteeg startedRoyal Mountain Records to release the band's own music, which eventually led to the discovery ofinternationally acclaimed artists like Alvvays, PUP and Orville Peck, as well as releases from MacDemarco, Metz and U.S Girls. The 4-time JUNO losers had a whole bunch of hit songs, and one gold record that took literally 13years to get there. In 2019, the band retired after a 60+ plus date world tour that concluded with 3sold out nights at the Danforth Music Hall, and a final show at Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern.On one of those last shows, longtime pals Tokyo Police Club opened the night, so years later when theyasked Hollerado to come out of retirement for a couple days to play their final shows, we said yes. Andthose were so darn fun we decided that six years was a long enough break, and 2025 would be the yearwe get back on the horse and see if it remembers the way back to town. .....and, yes, we wrote this bio ourselves and, yes, the first part of it was written in the thirdperson because otherwise it sounds weird. GreenWing Bio Attending a GreenWing gig is synonymous with belting singalong hooks, bouncing to infectiously driving rhythms, and taking in a chaotic stage show. After forming in 2021, hugging their pets and family good-bye, and jumping in a van, the band began hand-delivering a steady stream of Certified Shit-Kickers to music-fans across Canada; opening for luminaries such as Three Days Grace, Mom Jeans, Wheatus, Sebastian Bach, One Bad Son, Daniel Romano, The Dirty Nil, and The OBGMs along the way. The tension and catharsis of their debut LP Late Bloomer quickly attracted attention: the strength of this release and follow-up single "Dark" resulted in GreenWing being crowned "Rock Artist of The Year" by Sask Music in 2023. Following the warm reception to their rousing sophomore LP "Eatin' It", the band captured the attention of radio listeners across the globe with high-octane singles "Sweet Caroline" and "All Hard Feelings", peaking at #37 and #33 on Billboard's Top 40 Mainstream Canadian Rock Charts respectively. Coming off the resulting eleven-week run of radio play in 2024 and 2025, GreenWing will spend 2026 playing out of their goddamn minds across Canada & Europe.
